Model related to Volkswagen Anhuis ID. EVO concept.
Volkswagen Anhui filed images and initial specifications with MIIT (China) for the ID. UNYX 08, a mid‑large electric SUV presented as the production version of the ID. EVO concept. The 08 expands the ID. UNYX family for the Chinese market, previously launched by Volkswagen with localised design and a dedicated 3D avatar.
The ID. UNYX 08 measures 5.000 / 1.954 / 1.672–1.688 mm (L/w/h) and has a 3.030 mm wheelbase. The exterior follows the ID. EVO language: closed front, slim headlamps, black A‑pillars for a "floating roof" effect, hidden door handles and densely spoked wheels. At the rear, an illuminated VW badge in red and a gold "ID.UNYX" logo emphasize the visual identity. Larger wheels, coloured brake calipers and panoramic panels are offered as options.

The lineup includes:
Single‑motor (RWD): rear motor of 230 kW
Dual‑motor (AWD): front/rear motors of 140 kW + 230 kW
Both variants use CATL LFP batteries, with a declared range of over 700 km (CLTC) for the homologation package. According to Chinese releases, the platform supports 800V fast charging.
The ID. UNYX 08 promises an L2++ ADAS package (advanced assistance for urban and highway driving, including "parking‑to‑parking"), OTA software updates and an AI assistant based on a large language model for natural interaction. The interior features a wraparound dashboard and eco‑friendly materials, with multiple in‑cabin extension interfaces.

The model is developed by Volkswagen Anhui and is part of the accelerated electric range dedicated to China. The ID. EVO concept shown in Shanghai introduced an 800V architecture and zonal electronics to deliver digital services quickly via OTA, elements retained for the 08 production direction. Several local publications also note the link with the VW‑XPeng collaboration in China, with the 08 being the first model to reach production following this partnership.
The MIIT filing indicates an imminent debut of the production version on the Chinese market. Details such as exact battery capacities, pricing and the delivery schedule will be announced by Volkswagen Anhui at the commercial launch.
