If you are in Moldova and looking to buy or sell an Opel Vivaro, this guide helps you navigate the market for commercial vans. The Opel Vivaro is valued for its spacious interior, engine reliability, and versatility for business use, from freight transport to urban deliveries. In Moldova, demand for vans grows in major cities like Chisinau and Balti, where businesses need efficient transport solutions. Market options include various generations, body styles (van, crew cab), diesel and petrol engines, and different mileage levels. When buying for business, consider total ownership costs: fuel, insurance, taxes, maintenance, and parts.

Choosing the right generation and budget

For Opel Vivaro, you’ll find second and third generations, each with its own advantages in cargo space, driver comfort, and fuel efficiency. In Moldova, common configurations include panel van and crew/cargo variants, with diesel 1.6–2.0 L engines. Budget depends on year, mileage, and condition. Older examples can be cheaper but may need maintenance. For commercial use, engine durability and transmission longevity are key considerations.

What to check before buying

Maintenance history and mileage: request service records and receipts.
Engine and transmission condition: listen for unusual noises, check for smoke, smooth gear changes.
Brakes, suspension, and steering: test drive to feel any vibrations or pulls.
Bodywork and paint: signs of rust or major repairs.
Equipment and comfort: air conditioning, safety systems, cargo protections.

Negotiating and selecting the right offer

Compare offers from authorized dealers in Chisinau and other cities, and consider private sales as well. Verify vehicle history with service reports, and discuss financing or leasing terms if needed. A realistic maintenance plan, including annual costs for insurance, inspections, and parts, will help you choose a sustainable option. If you plan to sell, present the van well: clean it, take good photos, and provide a transparent maintenance history to achieve a fair price. The Opel Vivaro can be a solid choice for small businesses and active use in Moldova.
