Considering a Citroën Berlingo in Moldova? This practical and spacious vehicle suits family life and business needs alike. Here is a guide on choosing the right configuration, what to check before buying, and how to negotiate a fair price, focusing on generation, engine, and trim. We cover model year, mileage, petrol or diesel, body style and price range.

Choosing and comparing Berlingo models in Moldova

Berlingo comes in practical body styles with a roomy interior, popular with families and companies. In Moldova buyers typically look at:

model year and generation;
engine type (petrol or diesel), fuel economy and emissions;
equipment: infotainment, parking sensors, rear camera, smartphone connectivity;
mileage, service history and vehicle condition.

To maximize value, compare offers from local dealers and the used market in larger cities. Look for mileage that's reasonable for the age — usually up to about 100,000 km for older models, or under 60,000 km for newer ones. Price ranges commonly fall between 8,000–15,000 EUR depending on generation and trim.

What to check before purchase

Check engine condition, fuel consumption and maintenance history; transmission, suspension and brakes; tires and bodywork (rust); service history and any damage; financing or seller warranties. If possible, arrange a test drive to assess comfort, cabin noise, and drivability in local traffic. Pay attention to generations with ample boot space and practical payload. Price should reflect included features like navigation, air conditioning, electric doors, and driver assistance.

Negotiation and closing the deal

Before negotiating, prepare questions about mileage, number of previous owners and service records. Compare offers from multiple sources in Moldova and stick to a clear budget based on generation and engine. When finalizing, ensure documents are in order: service book, transfer paperwork and insurance.

Berlingo remains a practical choice for city driving and weekend trips in Moldova, offering space and efficiency within an affordable budget.
