Popular models and generations in Austria

In Austria, compact cars, sedans, and SUVs are common choices. Brands and generations range from economical engines with low consumption to performance variants. When selecting, consider fuel options such as petrol, diesel, hybrid, or electric, depending on usage and range. Examples include models from well-known brands with various generations, typically from around 2010 onward, depending on budget.

Key factors when comparing

Service history: Service book, regular inspections, repairs
Equipment: Air conditioning, navigation, cruise control, driver assistance
Body and tire condition: rust, accidents, tread depth
Fuel type: Important for running costs and emission zones
Price range: City cars, mid-size sedans, or SUVs – prices vary greatly
